The Deluxe maintains the famous pressure-relieving comfort of the Classic while offering a more luxurious appearance and a softer initial feel. Similar in design to the Classic, the Deluxe features more TEMPUR® pressure-relieving material and a Dual AirFlow System™ to make it nearly two inches taller than the Classic. Side positioning handles have been added to the removable, washable cover that is also naturally treated to be dust mite and allergen resistant. "The Classic Bed by Tempur-Pedic™" set the standard for pressure-relieving comfort. Its breakthrough design features a super-conforming comfort layer of TEMPUR® pressure-relieving material on top of a supportive base layer of TEMPUR material. The AirFlow System™ base allows air to circulate freely through the mattress and provides additional support to the TEMPUR components. Visco: resistant to change of shape. Elastic: able to return to its original shape after being forced to change. Imagine lying on a surface that senses exactly how far to let you "sink in" so that every point on the contour of your body is supported. When you are not on that surface, it then "flows" back to its original, flat shape. This phenomenon is similar to pushing your hand into the surface of a bowl of water and feeling the water flow to fill every contour and curve of your hand, then return to its original shape once your hand is removed.
